Spotlight on FAR’s 3D printing

Published February 20, 2014, a non-profit organization that provides education resources for digital fabrication, recently published an online article about FAR’s 3D printing research entitled, Florida State U. Informs and Inspires with Digital Fabrication Techniques. The author, Michael Berliner, focuses on the MMAP project and FAR’s relationship with Marlo Ransdell, PhD (Assistant Professor, Department of Interior Architecture + Design; Creative Director Studio D: Design and Fabrication Lab; FAR Faculty in Residence). In the article, Dr. Ransdell makes a number of compelling points about how digital fabrication is changing the landscape of design education.
