Small Project | Dr. Marlo Ransdell

Published September 20, 2013

Dr. Marlo Ransdell (FSU Department of Interior Architecture + Design) is working on a design for flexible, wall-mounted shelving that utilizes living hinge technology. With the help of technician, Noah Brock, she built prototypes in FAR’s Materials Processing lab using Rhino software and the ShopBot CNC Router. Her design is created so that it can be fabricated using only CNC equipment, meaning designers from around the world can easily share files and produce these shelves. This project is the result of a Small Project proposal that Dr. Ransdell applied for earlier in the year.
