FAR’s most recent formLab Project Fellow, Sam Kronick, made his first site visit to the facility February 26th through March 4th. During his visit, Kronick led a student workshop entitled Sensing Infrastructure. Over the course of two days, workshop participants walked a portion of the 14.3 mile-long Tallahassee Fiber Loop, a buried fiber optic cable that surrounds Tallahassee. While walking this loop, students documented the experience and engaged in a dialog about the cable’s relationship to the surrounding area. The Fiber Loop serves as inspiration for the body of work Sam will create during his residency at FAR.
