Comma serves as a portal through which to consider current ideas and rethink the familiar. It manifests as an annual publication of objects and words, gallery and museum exhibitions, and pop-up shows. Born as an outgrowth of Judy Rushin’s project ViV— where she asserts art as something vital and mobile – Comma uses a variety of environments from mailboxes to museums as platforms for contemporary art.
For each volume, Co-Directors Judy Rushin and Carolyn Henne select a group of artists who work in conversation to contribute to a limited-edition boxed set.
